General Body and Governing Body
The General Body is the supreme authority of the Society. It guides the Society in determining and fulfilling its aims and objects and decides specified policy matters.
Management of the Society is vested in the Governing Body. The bylaws provide for 18 office-bearers and executive members.
Key governance provisions
At least one AGM is held each year within six months of the close of the financial year for consideration and adoption of audited annual accounts and other Society business.
The Governing Body shall meet at least once in every quarter, with a minimum of four meetings in a financial year.
The term of the Governing Body is three years from the date of approval of its selection by the District Registrar.
The bylaws prescribe election procedures including declaration of the election schedule, returning officer, nominations, polling and declaration of results.
